Worship director, songwriter, and Platinum Ticket recipient on American Idol Season 24.
Jordan McCullough is a 27-year-old vocalist, worship leader, and songwriter from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, whose powerful voice and deep-rooted faith have taken him from the church choir to the national stage of American Idol.
Raised in a Christian family just outside Nashville, Jordan began singing in church when he was four years old. That early start shaped everything that followed. He grew up in gospel and worship services, developing his voice in the church tradition and discovering a calling that would eventually define his career. A graduate of Oakland High School, Jordan stayed close to home and close to his community, serving through the Boys and Girls Club and eventually stepping into worship leadership at Zeal Church in Nashville, where he works today as a worship director and songwriter.
In 2026, Jordan auditioned for Season 24 of American Idol with a rendition of "Goodness of God" that earned him a standing ovation and a Golden Ticket from judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. He advanced through Hollywood Week into the Top 20 Ohana Round in Hawaii, where his emotional performance of Bill Withers' "Grandma's Hands", dedicated to his family, earned him a coveted Platinum Ticket, placing him among the season's most distinguished talents.
Blending gospel, soul, and inspirational influences, Jordan's music is rooted in real-life experience, faith, and a commitment to genuine connection. His goal, on stage and off, is simple: to use his voice to tell honest stories that leave listeners encouraged, inspired, and seen.
His 2022 release through Zeal Worship has crossed 150,000 streams on Spotify.
